Welcome to Hacienda Rio Oro. We are a family run adventure tourism lodge, enclosed by the wild landscapes of the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica. The area allows for infinite exploration, an outpost to discover nature in the 2.5% biodiversity of the world. We are a place where adventure and rest combine the best of life: kayak tours, horseback riding and expeditions to La Leona, Corcovado.

Hacienda Rio Oro is a place for adventure seekers and its a destination for the few who can appreciate the wildlife of Costa Rica.

Everyone has a story to tell, HRO begun as a cattle ranch back in 1982. The goal: to share the real Costa Rica family life and reconnect with nature.

"You feel right at home and part of the family. Very hospitable people who are always at your service at any time of the day. The property was perfect and surrounded by nature. The food was excellent! The HRO tour was also a must See, you can see the surroundings from the mountaintop to the lagoon and mangrove. The visit to private beach where you end up with a fresh coconut was a whole experience. They also gave us good tips to get a better view of the area."
