ABOUT HACIENDA RIO ORO

In the year 1980, our grandfather Papi Paco, as we affectionately called him, came to the Osa Peninsula looking for tracts of land for cattle farming. After his death, his daughter Cira inherited the farm and came to discover the conservation potential of the place.

Now under the administration of a new generation, the Hacienda is directing its focus towards the conservation and regeneration of the biodiversity of the area, adapting regenerative productive practices and incorporating tourism as its main activity.
